We may collect various types of personal information from or about you or your devices from multiple sources, as described below. Where required by law, we will indicate when certain information is optional or explain the consequences of not providing it.
A. Personal Information You Provide to Us
When you register for or use our Platform, you may provide personal information to us. We may link this information with other information we have about you. You provide personal information in several ways on the Platform, including:
- Registration and Account Information: If you sign up for an account on the Platform, we will ask you to provide certain information to create the account. This includes your first name, last name, email address, and a password. We may also request your date of birth (to verify your age eligibility) and other information that we associate with your account to protect your account’s security, enable features, or comply with legal requirements. (Your email will be used to send an activation code to verify your account, for password recovery, and for important notifications.)
- Sava Profile Information: Once your account is created, we establish a basic profile (your Sava Profile) in our system to identify you. This profile contains information such as your first name, last name, date of birth, gender, and profile avatar image (a photo or avatar you choose to represent yourself). This information is stored in our system and is used internally to identify you as a user.
- Savrse Profile Information: Within the Platform’s social features (especially in the VR App), you have a public-facing profile (your Savrse Profile) used for in-game social interaction. You may provide information for your Savrse Profile, including a display nickname, chosen gender, birthdate, and country. This Savrse Profile information is shown to other users in the Platform’s virtual worlds. You are not required to provide your real or exact information for the Savrse Profile – you may use pseudonymous or fictional details if you prefer. The Savrse Profile is intended for social display, so you have the option to keep this information as private or anonymous as you wish.
- Payment and Billing Information: (Future Feature—Not Yet Available)* If you choose to use parts of the Platform that involve payments (for example, purchasing premium features or subscriptions once such features are introduced), you may be required to provide personal and payment information to a third-party payment processor. For example, in the future we may enable purchases or paid subscriptions; at that time, you might provide payment details (such as credit card information) to our payment processing partners. Those third parties will process transactions on our behalf and provide us with certain verification information (e.g., confirmation that payment was completed). We may also keep records of transactions and purchases you make on the Platform. (Note: As of the Effective Date above, Sava Meta’s payment features are planned for a future update; this section will be updated when such features are implemented.)
- User Communications: If you contact us directly (for example, by email or through a support form), we will collect information about you that you provide. For instance, if you reach out with a support request or inquiry, we may ask for your name and email address in order to respond. We will also collect the content of your messages or any additional information you choose to provide in your correspondence.
- Uploaded Images and Content: The Platform may allow you to upload images or other content for use in your profile or within virtual worlds. For example, you might upload a thumbnail or other media. If you utilize these features, please do not upload photographs of yourself or others that could be used to personally identify someone. We are not responsible if you upload personal images and they are viewed by others, so we encourage caution when sharing any personal or sensitive imagery on the Platform.
B. Personal Information We Collect When You Use the Platform
When you use or interact with the Platform, we (or our service providers) collect certain information automatically about your activities:
- Usage Information: We collect information about how you use our Platform. This can include the features you use, the actions you take, and the time you spend on different parts of the Platform. For example, we may record which virtual “worlds” or experiences you join, content you view on the Web Platform, or your interactions with features on Savrse Studio and Creator Hub. We may create a profile associated with your account reflecting your preferences and settings, so that we can personalize your experience across the Platform (for instance, remembering your settings each time you join a world).
- In-Platform Communications: If you participate in social features on the Platform, such as joining virtual worlds via the VR App or sending messages on the Web Platform, we may collect information from those communications. For example, when you engage in voice conversations using your microphone in a virtual world, or send text chats or other user-to-user messages, those communications may be transmitted through our systems.
Please note: voice chats are typically live and not stored by us, but other users who hear you could record or remember what you say. Similarly, text chats may be logged or visible to others in that session. Always be mindful that information you share in-platform (such as in a world or chat) may be seen by others – we do not control what other users do with information you share with them. - Movement Information: When you access the Platform through our VR App (using a VR headset or motion controllers), we collect information about your physical movements and interactions. This can include data about the position and movement of your head, hands, and other body parts as captured by your VR hardware. We use this Movement Information to animate your avatar and reflect your motions in real time within the virtual world. Importantly, we only receive movement data from devices or services that you choose to use with the Platform. For example, if you use a certain VR controller or tracker, we collect the motion data it provides; if you do not use a particular device or feature, we do not collect that data. We do not use your movement information to identify you in the real world, and we do not use movement or motion data for any purpose other than operating the Platform (such as animating your avatar or enabling in-game interactions).
- Eye Tracking Information: (If Applicable)* Some VR hardware offers eye-tracking features. Currently, Sava Meta does not collect or use eye tracking data. If in the future we enable an eye-tracking feature (for example, to animate your avatar’s eye movements), we will update this Policy accordingly. In any case, if such features are enabled, we would only receive relative position or movement data from your device’s sensors – we would not scan or store any biometric identifiers like retinal scans.
C. Information Collected via Automated Means
Like many digital services, we collect certain information by automated means when you use our Platform:
- Location Information: We may infer your general location from your IP address when you connect to our Platform. For example, your IP address might tell us the city or country you are in. This helps us with things like language settings or compliance with local laws. We do not collect precise GPS location from your device, and we do not attempt to determine your exact location. We only use IP-derived location data to get a broad sense of where our users are (e.g., to understand our user base distribution or detect fraudulent activity from unusual locations).
- Device and Technical Information: We automatically receive information about the device and software you use to access the Platform. This may include details like your device type (e.g., PC, VR headset model, or mobile device), operating system version, browser type (for the Web Platform), hardware identifiers, and network information. If you use the VR App, we may also collect information about your VR hardware and performance metrics (e.g., tracking frames per second or latency) to ensure the Platform works correctly on your device.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We utilize cookies and similar tracking technologies in conjunction with our Platform. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help us recognize you on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with our Platform. We (and our analytics providers) may use cookies, web beacons, and other trackers to collect information such as your browsing behavior on the Web Platform, which pages or content you view, clicks and other interactions, and referral URLs that brought you to our site. We use this information to improve and personalize your experience, understand usage patterns, and tailor our communications. You have choices in managing cookies: most web browsers allow you to delete or reject cookies, and our website may provide a cookie consent tool to adjust your preferences. Please note that if you disable cookies, some features of the Platform’s web-based services might not function properly. (For more details on our use of cookies and how you can control them, please refer to our Cookie Policy, if available.)
D. Personal Information We Receive from Third Parties
We may receive personal information about you from other sources, including third parties, and combine it with information we have collected directly:
- Our Partners: Third-party partners may provide us with additional information to supplement what we know about you. For example, we might receive analytics data or insights from service providers that help us understand how users interact with our Platform. We could also receive approximate location information based on your IP address from services that map IP addresses to geographic locations. Additionally, if parts of our Platform rely on third-party platforms or distribution channels (for instance, if our VR App is distributed via a third-party app store or gaming platform), those partners might send us certain information about you. This could include user identifiers or account names on those services, and information about your use of our Platform through their system (subject to their privacy policies).
- Anti-Cheat and Fraud Prevention: We are committed to maintaining a safe and fair environment on the Platform. To achieve this, we may use third-party services or technologies designed to detect and prevent cheating, hacking, unauthorized access, or other fraudulent or disruptive activities. These services might collect and analyze data about your device or software environment when you use our VR App or other clients, in order to identify suspicious behavior (for example, detecting the use of unauthorized modifications to our software). Such services could monitor aspects of your device’s memory, processes, and interactions with the Platform to determine if cheating or malicious activities are occurring. Any data collected through these anti-cheat measures will be used strictly for security and enforcement purposes and in accordance with this Policy. (Note: If you do not engage in prohibited activities, these services should operate passively in the background. If you have questions about what is collected for anti-cheat, you may contact us for more information.)
